The challenge
What it was like before
Madera Cristal is an established company, with customers across much of South America. Reach was not the problem: the flow was. Wholesale selling was handled entirely over WhatsApp, message by message, and they wanted to move it to an online store. They had no idea where to start: which Tiendanube plan suited them, how to set up the domain, how to take payment and, above all, how to quote shipping.
Alongside that, their main site had a problem of its own. A badly made backup had left the text with broken characters.

The solution
What we built
We covered both ends. On the store side we started with the business decision, which was which Tiendanube plan suited what they were going to sell, and went on to the domain setup.
Shipping was the hard part. Tiendanube calculates dimensions and weights on a different basis from shipping through Correo Argentino over the counter, so the real catalogue had to be translated into that logic, so the cost the customer sees is the one actually paid later. Payments went much the same way: we set up Pago Nube, but the work was not only technical. We went through prices and discounts with them so the commissions would not eat the margin.
On the main site we migrated the hosting to Hostinger and repaired the characters the backup had broken. And we closed the loop with an Online store button on the site, leading straight to the wholesale store.

What changed
The result is a wholesale store where the customer sees the catalogue, the price and the shipping cost without having to ask, and where the order closes on its own. What used to be a WhatsApp conversation for every sale is now a purchase, and the prices were set so that selling online does not earn less than selling over the counter.
The main site is migrated, with readable text again and with the door to the store one click away.
