The challenge
What it was like before
89nueve has been doing professional sound and lighting for events for more than twenty years. The problem was that this track record was nowhere to be found. Anyone looking them up online found nothing to back them up: not the services they cover, not the events they have already done, not the equipment they work with. They wanted to make the business look more professional still, and to have a presence of their own on the web.
- More than twenty years of track record with nothing online to back it up.
- Anyone finding them for the first time found neither the services, nor the work done, nor the equipment.
- The gallery had to be updatable after every event without depending on us.
The solution
What we built
We built the site with the three things they asked for in plain sight: the services, the work and the equipment, plus the availability enquiry, which is how a booking starts.
The part that defined the project was the gallery. We did not want them depending on us every time they wanted to publish an event, so the site has its own panel where they upload the photos themselves. The work section grows on its own with every date they play.
What we delivered

- Gallery of past work

Outcome
What changed
The site shows the services, the equipment and the work done, which is exactly the backing that was missing when someone looks them up for the first time. And the gallery is theirs to maintain: every new event is uploaded from the panel, without going through us.
